Instructions:

Preheat Oven To 350° F

Ingredients:

Topping:

  • 1 – pkg cornbread mix

Pie:

  • 1 lb. ground meat
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 - 8 oz. can whole kernel corn (drained)
  • 1 c. water/stock
  • One 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • ½ c. chopped green bell pepper (optional)
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. Chili powder
  • 1 tsp. salt

Instructions:

  1. Place meat and onions in skillet and slightly brown.
  2. Add rest of pie ingredients and simmer in skillet for 15 minutes.
  3. In separate bowl mix cornbread according to package directions.
  4. Pour pie mixture into greased 2 qt. casserole dish and cover with cornbread topping.
  5. Place in preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until brown.
