Hamburger Helper Cheddar Cheese Melt
Stovetop Ingredients:
- 1 lb. hamburger meat
- ½ cup milk
- 2-1/3 cups hot water
- For topping: 1/3 cup milk
Instructions:
- Brown hamburger meat in 10-inch skillet; drain.
- Stir in hot water, milk, Sauce Mix and uncooked Pasta.
- Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat; cover and simmer 11 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
- Meanwhile, stir 1/3 cup milk and Topping mix in bowl for 30 seconds; set aside.
- Remove from heat (sauce will thicken as it stands).
- Pour topping* over beef mixture.
*If topping is too thick to pour, stir in an additional ½ to1 teaspoon milk.
Microwave Ingredients:
- 1 lb. hamburger meat
- ½ cup milk
- 2-1/3 cups boiling water
- For topping: 1/3 cup milk
Instructions:
- Crumble 1 pound hamburger meat into 2½-quart microwavable casserole or bowl.
- Microwave uncovered on High 3 to 5 minutes, breaking up beef after 3 minutes, until brown; drain.
- Stir in sauce mix, 2-1/3 cups boiling water, ½ cup milk and uncooked Pasta.
- Microwave uncovered on High 8 to 12 minutes, stirring every 4 minutes, until pasta is tender (sauce will thicken as it stands). Dish will be hot.
- Meanwhile, stir 1/3 cup milk and Topping mix in bowl for 30 seconds.
- Pour topping* over beef mixture.
*If topping is too thick to pour, stir in an additional ½ to1 teaspoon milk.
