Original Toll House Cookies
Ingredients:
- 2¼ cups sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ¾ cup sugar
- ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- ½ teaspoon water
- 1 12-ounce package chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Cream butter and sugars.
- Add water and vanilla; beat in eggs.
- Sift dry ingredients together (flour, salt and baking soda).
- Mix well.
- Add chocolate chips and if desired, 1 cup chopped pecans.
- Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
- Bake 10-12 minutes at 375 degrees.
