Ingredients

  • 2¼ cups sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ teaspoon water
  • 1 12-ounce package chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

 

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Cream butter and sugars.
  3. Add water and vanilla; beat in eggs.
  4. Sift dry ingredients together (flour, salt and baking soda)
  5. Mix well.
  6. Add chocolate chips and if desired, 1 cup chopped pecans.
  7. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake 10-12 minutes at 375 degrees.
