Ingredients:

 

  • 1 lb. ground hot sausage
  • 2 slices white bread, diced
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 2/3 cups milk
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 drop Tabasco
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

 

Instructions:

  1. In a skillet, brown sausage, making sure there are no large lumps.
  2. Drain.
  3. In a 2-qt. casserole, layer sausage, bread, and cheese.
  4. In a medium mixing bowl, beat eggs with milk, salt, salt, Tabasco, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Pour mixture over sausage, bread and cheese layers.
  6. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  7. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  8. Uncover.
  9. Bake for 45 minutes.

 

Yield:       Serves 6.
