Hill Country Fare Frozen Green Peas
Stove Top:
- Place frozen green peas in ½ cup boiling water. Cover.
- Bring rapidly to second boil.
- Reduce heat, cover and simmer until tender, approximately 4 to 6 minutes.
- Drain. Season to taste.
Microwave:
- Place desired amount of frozen green peas in a microwaveable dish.
- Add ¼ cup water for 1 cup of peas.
- Cook on high setting 4-5 minutes.
- Stir halfway through cooking time.
- Drain.
Season to taste.
NOTE: The power of microwave ovens will vary. You may have to adjust cooking time.
