Campbell's Supper Bakes Garlic Chicken with Pasta
You will need:
- 1 to 1 ½ lb. uncooked boneless, skinless chicken breast halves* (4 to 6 pieces)
- 2 tbsp. Butter or margarine, cut up
- 2 ¼ cups HOT water
Oven directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Mix seasoning, hot water, butter and pasta in 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
- Place uncooked chicken on top of pasta.
- Pour baking sauce over chicken and pasta.
- Cover tightly with foil.
- Bake 20 minutes** in a 400 degree oven.
- Stir pasta around edge of dish.
- Sprinkle crumb topping over chicken.
- Bake uncovered, 10 minutes before serving or until chicken is cooked through.
Stir pasta before serving.
Microwave directions:
(For best results, use 4 chicken breast halves)
Microwave ovens vary in rate of heating. Times shown are approximate.
- Mix seasoning, hot water, butter, and pasta in 2 ½ to 3-quart microwavable casserole.
- Place chicken on top of pasta in single layer.
- Pour baking sauce over chicken and pasta. Cover.
- Microwave covered, on HIGH 7 minutes** . Stir pasta.
- Microwave uncovered, on HIGH 14 to 16 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
- Let stand 5 minutes in microwave oven.
- CAREFUL, dish will be hot. Remove from microwave with potholders.
- Sprinkle crumb topping over chicken.
Stir pasta before serving.
Skillet directions:
(For best results, use 4 chicken breast halves)
- Mix seasoning, hot water, butter, and pasta in large skillet.
- Place chicken on top of pasta.
- Pour baking sauce over chicken and pasta.
- Heat to a boil. Cover.
- Reduce heat to low. Simmer covered, 20 minutes** or until chicken is cooked through.
- Stir pasta around edge of skillet.
- Sprinkle crumb topping over chicken.
- Simmer uncovered, 5 minutes or until pasta is done.
Stir pasta before serving.
*Frozen chicken breasts should be completely thawed before use.
** Large or thick chicken breast halves may require additional baking time. (Meat temperature should reach 160 degrees.)
