Homemade Biscuits
Ingredients:
- 2 cups sift flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1/3 cup shortening
- ¾ cup milk
Instructions:
- Sift dry ingredients into mixing bowl.
- Cut in shortening.
- Make a well.
- Add milk.
- Stir quickly with a fork.
- Form into a ball.
- Turn onto lightly floured surface.
- Knead 10-12 times.
- Roll dough to ½-inch thick.
- Dip biscuit cutter into flour and cut straight down.
- Bake on ungreased baking sheet for 12 minutes.
Yield: 10 biscuits
